Preparation

Measure the Space

Record the full dimensions of your garage. You'll need:

  • Width from wall to wall
  • Width of the garage opening
  • Depth of the garage

Prepare Your Garage

Remove everything from the floor — tools, storage, vehicles, and any garage items. Give the floor a thorough sweep so the surface is completely clean and clear to work on.

Design with Our App

Use our garage designer app to visualize your layout, pick colours, and calculate the exact number of tiles needed — available on desktop and mobile.

Installation

Installation

Begin at the garage opening and work toward the back. Important! Make sure the edge of the front row matches the ramp edge type you ordered — getting this wrong means redoing everything.

Cutting Tiles

We recommend using an angle grinder, handsaw, or miter saw with a higher tooth count blade for a clean cut. Apply painter's tape along the cut line to prevent splintering and tear-out. Always wear proper safety gear during cutting.

Finishing Touches

Snap ramp edge pieces along the perimeter for a smooth, safe transition. Leave proper expansion gaps around the walls — 2-3 inches is recommended to allow the floor to expand and contract naturally.

Maintenance

Everyday Cleaning

A quick sweep or leaf blower will remove surface debris. Use a shop vacuum to collect dirt underneath the tile. Rinse with a garden hose or pressure washer if available.

Yearly / Seasonal Cleaning

Separate the tiles from the middle so it's easier to drag out whole halves. Sweep the entire garage floor and wash it down. Apply degreaser to any oil spots and wait until the floor is completely dry.

Replacing Individual Tiles

Disconnect the whole column from the garage opening to the tile that needs to be replaced. Because tiles are interlocked with surrounding tiles, separating a single tile on its own is difficult. The snap-lock mechanism allows you to replace individual tiles in under 10 minutes.
